34630: Fitzskimmons lament Part One: Marvel and the endlessly straight path.

The lack of gay relationships in MCU needs to be examined but we would prefer not to link to blogs that deal in character hate. It's not our thing.

34624: Why The Avengers represent the worst aspects of America.

There's been more than enough infighting post AoU. This is not a particularly insightful take on the characters.

34616: Final schedule for all networks at the start of the 2015-2016 season.

It's a bit too general for the front page. And we did the AoS timeslot for Season 3 not so long ago.

34615: Samuel L. Jackson reportedly joining The Blob remake.

We can't follow the A list actors' careers in detail. If it's a Joss project, that's different.

34600: Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to remain in Tuesday timeslot.

Just beaten to it.

34597: I’m Not Your Dummy — And Neither Is Joss Whedon

I think last week's events regarding Joss leaving Twitter have been played out.  Now we're left with articles that like to have a go at one side or another.

34579: RUMOR: Whedon directing Star Wars: Episode IX

This was a deliberate lie started by a user at MoviePilot.com. It was designed as an experiment to see how other sites picked up rumours. Said user abused the goodwill at MoviePilot.com who had nothing to do with the story.

34587: ‘Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Spinoff Not Going Forward At ABC.

Already on the front page.

34576: Agent Carter Renewed By ABC!

Two show renewals, one thread.

34558: Corporate drone Joss Whedon fought the pure artistic impulses of Marvel executives

An article which recycles comments from the Empire Podcast interview which was posted here yesterday. http://whedonesque.com/comments/34548

34557: Corporate Drone Joss Whedon Fought the Pure Artistic Impulses of Marvel Executives.

This past week or two is characterized by two things here in Whedonfandomland:

1) Entertainment writers are recycling quotes out of context from pieces that recycle quotes out of context from original interviews. Once you get 3 sources deep, you're posting a game of telephone and the signal is lost amidst the noise.

We already posted the original here.

2) Emotions are running high among fans as people process the movie, online nastiness, and Joss exiting Twitter. This does not feel like a good time for sarcasm.
